Entfaltung is German for unfolding. I begin with the pendulum drawings of Swiss healer-artist Emma Kunz (1892–1963) and unfold them out of the flat page into space and time. What Kunz fixed on graph paper, I set in motion. It is a living drawing, computed in real time. I pre-render nothing, and it never repeats.

Twenty-four points on a many-sided outline, mirrored left to right, are each joined to all 23 others: 276 straight lines, with no single centre. The lines cross into thousands of slivers. The plotter drew the lines in pen. I filled some of the slivers by hand in pencil, partly in neon pencil, and left the others white.
